Morbier, a smooth and creamy PDO cheese, owes its name to its native Jura village: Morbier.
The wheels are made from raw cow’s milk and ripened for at least 45 days.

Its distinctive black vein, now drawn with vegetable charcoal, was originally a protective layer of ash that covered the first part of the cheese while it awaited the next milking.
